Project Manager NeurotechEU

Your area of responsibility
The Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI) is a member of NeurotechEU – the European University of Brain and Technology, an alliance of leading international universities dedicated to advancing education, research, and innovation in neuroscience, neurotechnology, and related fields.
As Project Manager for NeurotechEU at MUI, you will play a central role in coordinating, implementing, and advancing the university’s activities within the alliance. You will oversee project implementation at the Medical University of Innsbruck, ensure the timely delivery of outcomes, and actively contribute to project tasks. In addition, you will regularly inform the Board of Governors and the Board of Rectors about MUI’s progress and engagement within NeurotechEU. By building strong connections across departments, identifying synergies, and fostering collaboration, you will help strengthen the university’s strategic contribution to the European University Alliance.
Your tasks include
- Coordinate the university’s overall contribution to the work on the deliverables and milestones of NeurotechEU.
- Function as the central contact person for NeurotechEU within the Medical University of Innsbruck for researchers, students as well as externals.
- Promote visibility and engagement of the alliance within the Medical University of Innsbruck.
- Communicate with and report to the Board of Governors and Board of Rectors members that represent the MUI in NeurotechEU.
- Act as the main contact point between the MUI and the central coordination office of NeurotechEU.
We are looking forward to
- Demonstrable experience in project management, preferably in an academic or international context
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
- Good command of German (working proficiency)
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within diverse, multicultural teams
- High level of initiative and reliability
- Willingness to learn about European higher education projects, as well as the structure and organization of neuroscience research and education at the Medical University of Innsbruck

For the intended job group IVa, the minimum salary according to the collective agreement is currently €47.464,20 gross per year for a 40-hour week and may possibly increase on the basis of the collective agreement regulations through the recognition of job specific previous experience and other salary components associated with the special features of the job.
