The Academic Year

The academic year is divided into winter semester and summer semester. The semesters consist of a period during which courses are held and a period during which no courses are held. Irrespective of this, the admission or payment deadlines must be observed.

_{1) If a deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday, public holiday, Good Friday, 24 or 31 December, the deadline is on the next working day (Monday to Friday) acc. to §33 AVG. This exception does not apply to applicants from non-EU and non-EEA countries.}

_{2) In principle, parts of the Clinical Practical Year (KPJ), clinical traineeships and the dental practical preparation can be completed voluntarily during the non-teaching period.}

_{3) Elective courses, parts of Clinical Practical Year (KPJ), the dental practical preparation and clinical traineeships can be completed voluntarily during this time.}
