Change of personal data
Your personal data may change during the course of your studies. These personal data changes must be notified to the Medical University of Innsbruck.
You can change certain data yourself by entering it via your i-med.inside account (e.g. change of address, etc.).
Proof is required for all other changes. This proof must be submitted to the Department for Student Services together with a valid official photo ID in person in the original or as a notarized copy.
The following relevant changes to personal data are possible:
- Change of civil status or name
- Registration of academic degrees
- Change of citizenship
1. Change of civil status or name:
In the event of a name change, e.g. due to marriage, change of gender, etc., the relevant documents (e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate) and a valid official photo ID in the original or as a notarized copy must be submitted to the Department for Student Services.
2. Registration of academic degrees:
If you want your academic degrees, which you obtained before or during your studies at the Medical University of Innsbruck or at another university/college, to appear on your documents, you must present the relevant notification(s) in the original or as a notarized copy in person together with a valid official photo ID to the Department for Student Services.
3. Change of citizenship:
In the event of a change of nationality, the relevant proof (e.g. proof of citizenship together with a valid official photo ID in the form of a passport or identity card) must be submitted to the Department for Student Services.
NOTE: Changes to the e-mail addresses due to changes in personal data must be made at the students’ own initiative and on their own responsibility by contacting the Department for Information Technology of the Medical University of Innsbruck.
Please note that you must first change your civil status or name at the Department for Student Services.
