Identification and function of non coding RNAs in health and disease; neurobiology, bioinformatics, NGS sequencing

- Prof. Hüttenhofer established the field of non-coding RNAs (for which he coined the term:RNomics)
- Participant of the German Human Genome Project program
- Leader of the Austrian Genome Project on ncRNAs and their functions in human diseases (for 8 years)
