General staff can take advantage of an attractive flexitime model, taking into account the requirements of the job. Short Description
In order to increase the quality and efficiency of work as well as employee satisfaction and to improve the work-life balance, the Medical University of Innsbruck offers general staff the opportunity to apply for home office and/or remote work up to a maximum of 40% of their normal weekly working hours. In doing so, the university is also emphasising its commitment to environmental protection and sustainability and making an important contribution to reducing daily private transport. The implementation of the requirements and modalities for home office and/or remote work will initially take place as a pilot phase of one year, starting on 1 January 2023, in order to gain experience with this working model.

Short Description

The lunch break up to a maximum of half an hour is included in the paid working time if more than six hours are worked on this day and the break is not at the beginning or end of the working time.

New employees who start work in the first half of the year are entitled to their full holiday entitlement in their first year of employment, provided they are employed at the university beyond the end of the year. In addition, general staff members can also use up their holiday entitlement on an hourly basis in consultation with their supervisor. An increased holiday entitlement is available under certain conditions from the age of 43. For employees who belong to the group of registered disabled persons, the collective bargaining agreement of the university provides for an increased holiday entitlement.

Short Description
The Medical University of Innsbruck has its own company kindergarten and can therefore offer 30 children of employees a kindergarten place. The university contributes to the costs of childcare in the form of a subsidy. Places are allocated according to fixed selection criteria.

Short Description
In addition to the statutory contributions to health, accident and pension insurance, the Medical University of Innsbruck pays a monthly contribution to the company pension fund. These contributions are invested by Allianz Pensionskasse AG and serve to provide additional retirement, disability and survivors' benefits after termination of employment. It is also possible to make personal contributions, which are subsidised with a state premium.

As part of the New Year's Reception, which is jointly organised by ALUMN-I-MED and the Rectorate of the Medical University of Innsbruck, employees, graduates, students, guests of honour as well as sponsors are given a look back as well as a brief outlook on the new year.
