The transfer of academic knowledge into the business world is a high priority for the Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI). Ideas and inventions developed at the MUI should also contribute to social and technological progress in a commercial way. This technology transfer happens as part a multi-phase process, supported by Ascenion GmbH.

Christian Doppler Research Association

In Christian Doppler Laboratories, applied research is conducted at a high level, and scientists cooperate with innovative companies. To promote this cooperation, the Christian Doppler Research Association is internationally regarded as a best practice example. Christian Doppler Laboratories are jointly funded by the public sector and participating companies. The most important public funding body is the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMBWF).
